FAA and NTSB Investigate Marine One's Close Call with Passenger Jet

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) have launched investigations after President Donald Trump's Marine One helicopter reportedly flew too close to a commercial passenger jet departing Washington's Reagan National Airport. Air traffic controllers allegedly failed to pause commercial departures as required, a policy adopted after a fatal collision in January 2025. Both aircraft landed safely, and the FAA stated there was a "momentary loss of separation."
