D.C. District Court Lifts Stay Blocking Termination of Haiti TPS

The U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia confirmed that its prior order staying the termination of Haiti's Temporary Protected Status (TPS) designation is no longer in effect. This action follows a U.S. Supreme Court order and a D.C. Circuit mandate, lifting the injunction that had temporarily prevented the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) from implementing the termination. While the injunction is lifted, the underlying lawsuit challenging the termination on constitutional grounds has not been dismissed.
