New York Attorney General Letitia James, leading a coalition of 21 other attorneys general, has filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The lawsuit seeks to block the Trump administration's demand for sensitive personal information, including names, dates of birth, and Social Security numbers, of 17 million commercial drivers nationwide, threatening to cut federal funding for the Commercial Driver's License Information System if states do not comply.
