White House Launches New Program to Combat Cybercrime and Fraud

President Trump has directed federal law enforcement to establish a new program, formalized through an executive order, that will partner with the private sector to disrupt transnational criminal organizations responsible for ransomware attacks, phishing campaigns, and other cybercrimes. The initiative, overseen by the Department of Justice and Department of Homeland Security, will recruit private companies to provide services to combat cybercrime for both private and public entities.
