Federal Judge Rejects Tohono O'odham Nation's Request to Halt Border Wall Construction

A federal judge denied the Tohono O'odham Nation's request for a temporary injunction to stop the construction of a border wall on its reservation. The Nation had argued that the proposed project threatened sacred sites, burial grounds, and other culturally significant places, as well as tribal sovereignty.
