US Space Force and Japan Conclude Joint Space Domain Awareness Program

The U.S. Space Force and Japan have successfully completed the Quasi-Zenith Satellite System-Hosted Payload (QZSS-HP) program with the launch of Japan's QZS-7 spacecraft. This marks the first bilateral national security space hardware effort between the two nations, establishing a sovereign U.S. optical Space Domain Awareness (SDA) sensor in orbit above the Indo-Pacific. This collaboration enhances regional security and space monitoring capabilities.
