The Trump administration's Department of Justice plans to deploy approximately 1,000 election monitors nationwide for the November 2026 midterm elections, according to Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon. Dhillon also indicated that the DOJ might appeal its ongoing, unsuccessful campaign to obtain unredacted state voter rolls to the U.S. Supreme Court, following 23 district court losses and a Sixth Circuit rejection.
