Environmental Group Calls on EPA to Set Binding PFAS Limits in Sewage Sludge

Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility (PEER) has formally requested the EPA withdraw its proposed voluntary guidance on PFOA and PFOS 'forever chemicals' in sewage sludge used as fertilizer. PEER advocates for the EPA to instead issue binding numerical limits on PFAS content in biosolids, citing public health risks and Clean Water Act obligations.
