National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency Updates Official Server to Reflect Renaming of Lake Ontario to Lake America

The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) has implemented the presidentially-directed name change from Lake Ontario to "Lake America" in the U.S. Geographic Names Server, the official federal repository for foreign geographic names. This change follows President Trump's August 27 Executive Order, "Honoring the American History of the Great Lakes and Renaming Lake Ontario as Lake America." The NGA stated that Lake America supports hundreds of thousands of U.S. jobs and drives billions in annual commerce.
