Federal Judge Hears Arguments in Challenge to Trump's Mail Voting Executive Order

U.S. District Court Judge Indira Talwani is hearing combined arguments in two lawsuits challenging the U.S. Postal Service's (USPS) implementation of President Trump's executive order on mail voting. The cases, brought by pro-voting organizations and 24 Democratic-led states, focus on new USPS rules that would require election officials to overhaul mail voting procedures, including mandating barcode-equipped envelopes and pre-approval from USPS. The judge had previously issued temporary injunctions against the order.
