HHS Awards $11.2 Million to Establish New Rural and Tribal Physician Residency Programs

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), announced $11.2 million in awards to support the development of 15 new physician residency programs in rural communities across 14 states. This initiative aims to strengthen the health workforce in underserved rural and tribal areas by training doctors where they are most needed.
