Supreme Court Affirms Birthright Citizenship for Children of Unlawfully Present Parents

In the case of *Trump v. Barbara*, the Supreme Court held that children born in the United States to parents who are unlawfully or temporarily present are considered “subject to the jurisdiction” of the United States and are therefore citizens at birth under the Fourteenth Amendment's Citizenship Clause.
