House Committee Requests GAO Studies on AI in College Admissions, Tenure, and Credit Transfers

The House Committee on Education and Workforce, led by Chairman Tim Walberg, has requested three Government Accountability Office (GAO) studies. These studies will examine state and public university tenure reforms, barriers students face when transferring college credits, and the increasing use of artificial intelligence (AI) in college admissions and scholarship decisions, addressing concerns about fairness and efficiency.
