Senators Kaine and Warner Introduce Legislation to Enhance Air Safety at Reagan National Airport

U.S. Senators Tim Kaine and Mark R. Warner (D-VA) unveiled the DCA Air Safety Act, legislation aimed at improving safety in the airspace around Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) following a deadly midair collision in January 2025. The bill proposes capping hourly arrivals, reducing flight clustering, and eliminating 30 flight slots to address overcrowding and reduce accident risks.
