Ford Recalls Over 223,000 U.S. Vehicles Due to Fuel Tank Detachment Risk
Ford is recalling 223,472 vehicles in the U.S., specifically certain 2023-2027 F-150 models, due to leaky and improperly secured fuel tanks that could detach while driving. The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) stated that a detached tank poses a road hazard, increasing crash risk, and a fuel leak could cause an engine stall or fire. Dealers will inspect and replace fuel tank straps free of charge.
