Alien Terrorist Removal Court Deports Legal U.S. Resident to Afghanistan in First-Ever Case

For the first time since its creation in 1996, the Alien Terrorist Removal Court has been used by the Justice Department to deport a legal U.S. resident. Nazira Haji Zada, 47, originally from Afghanistan, was deported after conceding to being an 'alien terrorist' due to alleged support for an Islamic State-inspired mass shooting plot.
