U.S. charges five suspects linked to alleged Russian assassination and sabotage network targeting Ukraine's allies

The U.S. Justice Department has announced charges against five individuals, including a former Russian intelligence colonel and an officer from Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB), for their alleged involvement in a global Russian intelligence network. This network reportedly plotted assassinations and terrorist acts in countries supporting Ukraine and attempted to recruit individuals in the U.S. to surveil and kill Russian dissidents and attack civilian and military infrastructure in European countries aligned with Ukraine.
