DHS Reports 16 Months of Zero Border Releases and Historic Low Crossings

The Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Customs and Border Protection have reported 16 consecutive months without releases at the border, alongside historically low illegal crossings. DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin attributed this to President Trump's policies, stating that "catch and release is over." This sustained decline in border activity represents the lowest levels in over three decades.
