MTA Advances Final Construction Contract for Second Avenue Subway Phase 2 in New York City

New York's Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) has issued a Request for Qualifications for the fourth and final construction contract for Phase 2 of the Second Avenue Subway extension. This $6.968 billion project will extend the subway by approximately 1.5 miles into East Harlem, adding three new stations and aiming to significantly shorten travel times for residents in a historically underserved area.
