NSA Announces Post-Quantum Cryptography Measures to Safeguard National Security Systems
The National Security Agency (NSA) has announced new initiatives to protect National Security Systems (NSS) from threats posed by quantum computing, in line with Executive Order 14412. These efforts include developing post-quantum cryptography resources to guide a large-scale transition to quantum-resistant algorithms, with new commercial NSS mandated to support these algorithms by 2027 and legacy systems phased out by 2030.
