USDA Announces Record $13.8 Billion in Payments for 2025 Crop Year Safety Net Programs

U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke L. Rollins announced that the Farm Service Agency's Agriculture Risk Coverage (ARC) and Price Loss Coverage (PLC) programs will generate approximately $13.8 billion in gross payments for the 2025 crop year. This marks the largest annual payout since these safety net programs were established in the 2014 Farm Bill, providing critical liquidity to agricultural producers.
