Federal Judge Orders Trump Administration to Halt Taxpayer-Funded Promotional Ads

A federal judge on Sunday evening, October 11, ordered the Trump administration to cancel any further airings of controversial taxpayer-funded advertisements that promote President Donald Trump's agenda. The administration had already spent approximately $19 million in taxpayer money on these ads, which were classified as “public service announcements” from U.S. Customs and Border Protection. The Department of Homeland Security directed the advertising company to cease additional media buys after October 11.
