Federal Judge Orders Immediate Halt to White House Taxpayer-Funded TV Ads

A federal judge in the Southern District of New York has ordered the White House to immediately cease using taxpayer money for television advertisements promoting President Donald Trump and his political agenda. The ruling came in a lawsuit filed by Common Cause and other plaintiffs, challenging the ads as an illegal misuse of funds. The Department of Homeland Security had reportedly diverted $20 million from its appropriations to fund the campaign, which included content identical to Trump's political campaign ads.
