Federal Judge Orders U.S. Government to Open Delayed 2027 Diversity Visa Lottery Registration

A federal judge has ordered the U.S. government to open registration for the delayed 2027 Diversity Visa (DV) Lottery by midnight on October 15, 2026. The registration period must remain open for at least 30 days. This program offers up to 55,000 immigrant visas annually to eligible applicants from countries with historically low rates of immigration to the United States.
