Supreme Court Urged to Preserve Gender-Affirming Care for Transgender Federal Inmates

Attorneys representing transgender individuals in federal prisons have petitioned the U.S. Supreme Court to uphold a preliminary injunction. This injunction blocks the Bureau of Prisons from enforcing a Trump administration executive order that would deny gender-affirming care, including hormone therapy, to transgender inmates. The administration had previously sought to withdraw this care.
