President Trump Waives Russian Sanctions, Drawing Congressional Outrage

President Donald Trump's decision to waive sanctions on Russia, days before they were set to take effect, has sparked outrage among members of Congress. The legislation, which had passed overwhelmingly with bipartisan support, aimed to back Ukraine in its conflict with Russia. Trump cited national security concerns for his executive order, though he later stated his decision was still being finalized, pointing to a U.S. national interest.
