House Members Introduce 'Reimagining Safety Act' to Dismantle Department of Homeland Security

Congresswoman Delia Ramirez of Illinois, along with several co-sponsors, introduced the 'Reimagining Safety Act.' This legislation proposes to abolish U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and U.S. Border Patrol, dismantle the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and establish a new Cabinet-level 'Department of Community Safety.' The bill also suggests reassigning agencies like the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and the U.S. Coast Guard.
