Legislation Introduced in House to Dismantle Department of Homeland Security

Congresswoman Delia Ramirez (IL) has introduced the 'Reimagining Safety Act,' a bill that proposes to abolish U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and U.S. Border Patrol, dismantle the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and establish a new Cabinet-level 'Department of Community Safety.' The legislation also suggests reassigning agencies like the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and the U.S. Coast Guard to the Department of Transportation.
