Department of Defense Designates Confucius Institutes as National Security Threat

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced that the U.S. Department of Defense has officially designated Chinese-funded Confucius Institutes as a threat to U.S. national security. The DoD has reportedly dismantled 80 such organizations that had reappeared under different names on American university campuses, citing their mission to steal intellectual property and infiltrate the minds of American students.
