President Signs 12 Bills into Law, Including Satellite Emergency Alerts and Romance Scam Prevention Acts

During a congressional recess, President Trump signed 12 bills into law last week. Notable among these are the Mystic Alerts Act (H.R. 7022), which directs the FCC to develop rules for wireless carriers to send emergency alerts via satellite, and the Romance Scam Prevention Act (H.R. 2481), requiring online dating services to notify users about accounts banned for fraud. These new laws address critical infrastructure and public safety concerns.
