EPA Releases Latest Motor Vehicle Emissions Model, MOVES6, for State Implementation Plans and Transportation Conformity

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has announced the availability of MOVES6, the latest major release of its Motor Vehicle Emission Simulator model. MOVES6 is designed for estimating emissions from various vehicles and is now available for use in State Implementation Plans (SIPs) and transportation conformity analyses. A two-year grace period begins today, October 27, 2026, before MOVES6 will be required for new transportation conformity analyses outside of California.
