Senate Republicans Block Five Bills to Fund Key DHS Agencies Amid Negotiations

Over the last 24 hours, Senate Republicans have blocked five separate bills proposed by Senate Democrats to fund critical components of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). These agencies include the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), and the U.S. Coast Guard. The blockages occurred as negotiations continue on measures related to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
