EPA Announces Cooperative Agreement with State and Territorial Health Officials to Address Environmental Health Challenges

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced a new agencywide cooperative agreement with the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO) on November 4, 2026. This initiative aims to enhance collaboration on shared environmental health priorities, including water safety, wildfire smoke, PFAS, lead, and indoor air quality, by providing technical assistance and supporting knowledge sharing to strengthen environmental health systems nationwide.
