Wildfire Risk Elevated in Southeastern U.S. and Great Plains

The National Interagency Fire Center has issued a fire behavior advisory for the southeastern United States. This warning is due to ongoing dry weather and worsening drought conditions, which have resulted in exceptionally dry vegetation. Similar advisories are also active across the Central, Southern, and Northern Great Plains, highlighting an increased danger of wildfires in these areas.
