Critical Fire Weather and High Wind Warnings Issued for Portions of New Mexico and West Texas

Forecasters have issued critical fire weather conditions for parts of Southeast New Mexico and West Texas, effective through tonight. Strong winds combined with very dry conditions are expected to create a high risk of rapid wildfire spread. Additionally, high wind warnings are in place for several mountainous and plains areas within these regions, with powerful gusts anticipated throughout the day.
