Hummingbird Wildfire Expands in Gila National Forest
The Hummingbird Fire in New Mexico's Gila Wilderness has grown to over 4,000 acres, actively burning and spreading eastward. Firefighting crews are focused on reinforcing containment lines and managing firing operations to control its spread. Consequently, Stage 1 Fire Restrictions have been implemented across the Gila National Forest to mitigate further risk.
