Forecasters predict widespread elevated to critical fire weather conditions today across the Greater Four Corners and into the central and southern High Plains. Strong westerly winds, gusting up to 40 mph, combined with very low relative humidity between 5-15%, are contributing to the heightened risk. The most severe conditions, increasing wildfire potential, are anticipated in eastern Colorado and northeast New Mexico.
