Georgia Reports Dozen New Wildfires Amidst Progress on Major Blazes

The Georgia Forestry Commission recently reported 12 new wildfires across the state, affecting a total of 42.7 acres. This update also provided positive news regarding two major ongoing incidents. The Pineland Road Fire is now 65% contained, covering over 32,500 acres, while the Highway 82 Fire is 85% contained, spanning more than 22,000 acres.
