Significant Wildfires Persist in New Mexico and California

The National Interagency Fire Center has reported 18 large uncontained fires across the country. Among these, the Seven Cabins Fire in New Mexico has consumed nearly 29,000 acres and is less than half contained. Another notable incident is the Santa Rosa Island Fire in California, which has burned over 18,000 acres and is nearing full containment.
