US Plains Region Anticipates Severe Storms and Flood Risk

The northern Plains and Upper Mississippi Valley are bracing for repeated severe thunderstorms through Thursday, bringing threats of large hail, damaging winds, and isolated tornadoes. Portions of the eastern Dakotas and western Minnesota are under a Slight Risk for severe weather. Additionally, a Slight Risk for excessive rainfall is in effect for parts of the eastern Dakotas, west Texas, and New Mexico, raising concerns for localized flooding.
