Weakened Tropical Storm Cristina Still Poses Flood and Mudslide Threat to Central America

The National Hurricane Center has issued its final advisory for Tropical Storm Cristina, which has now weakened to a trough of low pressure near El Salvador. Despite its degeneration, the system continues to bring strong winds and heavy rainfall to parts of southeastern Mexico, Guatemala, Nicaragua, and El Salvador.
