Tropical Disturbance Monitored in Bay of Campeche with Low Development Potential
The National Hurricane Center is tracking a disorganized area of low pressure in the far southern Bay of Campeche. This system is currently producing showers and thunderstorms and is expected to move inland over eastern Mexico by the weekend. While environmental conditions are only marginally favorable, the NHC assigns a low 10% chance of tropical formation if it re-emerges over the northwestern Gulf next week.
