New Mexico's Bear Fire Remains Uncontained in Gila National Forest

The Bear Fire in New Mexico's Gila National Forest continues to burn across more than 6,000 acres with no containment reported. Despite some favorable weather conditions, firefighters face significant challenges due to extreme drought, heavy fuel loads, recent tree mortality, and steep terrain.
