Intense and Long-Lasting Heatwave Predicted to Hit France

Météo-France warns of temperatures up to 15C above seasonal norms, forecast to reach 30C across northern France, 35C on Thursday, 36C in Paris, and 40C around the Bordeaux area. 'Tropical nights' (temperatures not dropping below 20C) are also predicted for much of the country. Yellow-level thunderstorm alerts have also been issued for parts of Normandy, Brittany, along the Pyrenees, and in the southeast.
