Tropical Storm Arthur threatens southeastern US with life-threatening flooding

Tropical Storm Arthur is currently moving northeastward along the Texas coast and is expected to make landfall in southwestern Louisiana tonight. The National Hurricane Center has extended a Tropical Storm Warning, anticipating life-threatening flooding across parts of the southeastern United States. Significant flash flooding is possible through Thursday in the northwestern Gulf Coast, lower Mississippi River Valley, and Deep South due to excessive rainfall.
