Extreme Heat Warning Issued for San Antonio and South Central Texas
The National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Heat Warning for San Antonio and much of South Central Texas for Thursday, June 18. Forecasters expect heat index values to reach between 110 and 113 degrees across the region, making conditions more extreme than previously experienced this summer. Residents are urged to drink plenty of water, limit strenuous outdoor activities, and take frequent breaks in air-conditioned or shaded areas.
