Tropical Storm Arthur Forms, Bringing Flood Threat to US Gulf Coast

The first named storm of the Atlantic hurricane season, Tropical Storm Arthur, has developed in the northwestern Gulf of Mexico. It is expected to bring significant rainfall, potentially causing dangerous flash flooding across parts of the US Gulf Coast, including Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and the Florida Panhandle. A Tropical Storm Warning is currently active for a section of the Louisiana and Texas coastlines.
