France Issues Alerts for Extensive Heatwave and Thunderstorms

French authorities have issued weather alerts across 81 departments, covering both heatwaves and thunderstorms. Sixty-nine departments are under heatwave warnings, with orange-level alerts in several key regions including Paris. Additionally, 21 departments face thunderstorm alerts, primarily in northern and southern areas. Temperatures are projected to reach up to 40°C (104°F) later this week.
