National Weather Service predicts diverse severe weather across the U.S.

The NWS anticipates severe thunderstorms and heavy rainfall in the central and eastern U.S. early next week, with ongoing flash flooding along the Gulf Coast. Elevated fire weather risks are also noted for the Southwest and interior Alaska. Additionally, uncomfortable heat is expected to continue across the southern Plains and Southeast regions.
