UK Met Office Issues Highest Heat Alert for Parts of England and Wales

The UK Met Office has issued a rare Red extreme heat warning for southern Wales and parts of England, including London, for June 24-25, 2026. This alert signifies a significant risk to life and potential widespread disruption to infrastructure and services. The UK Health Security Agency has also issued a corresponding Red heat health alert.
